One in 12 People Lose Control When They Drink,
Take Pills. Or Use Recreational Drugs.
Just Say No… Just Doesn’t Work
Young adults (18-25) have the highest reported alcohol (80%), illicit drug (22%), and prescription pill (5.9%) use amounts all ages and demographics combined. 4 out of 5 College Students Report Drinking Regularly. Student prescription pill abuse has risen 450% since 1993.
The Friends Care Campaign was created to teach young adults about the warning signs of addiction, based on real-life behavior and activities. By providing students with addiction awareness that can be easily-identified and related to their every day lives, we will be able to reach more individuals with critical early-intervention education when it is needed.
